Darragh McDonagh then struck with a bullet to the net after a great run through the Shannon men's defence. Eoin Curtin got his second goal as the half drew to a close following a lovely pass from Eoin Cleary. This allied with well taken points from Cormac Murray, Darragh, Jamesie, Eoin Cleary and Conor Cleary ensured Miltown led by 3-7 to 0-2 despite missing a number of scoreable chances.
