Junior B Championship Round 2 v St.Josephs Miltown v Kildysart 16/08/2026 @Kilmihil
Our Junior B side got their Championship campaign back on track with a narrow victory over Kildysart in challenging conditions in Kilmihil on Sunday.
Kildysart playing with the aid of the strong breeze opened the scoring before Paddy Greene from a free and Eoin Devenney from play gave Miltown an early lead. Paul Keane added to the total with a well taken goal after a strong run and Gearoid Burke with a point from gave Miltown a 1-3 to 0-1 lead after 10 minutes. Kildysart reduced the arrears with two points before the lively Eoin Devenney struck for Miltowns second goal of the half with Oisin Meade adding a point from play soon after. Kildysart however finished the half strongly putting together a run of scores including 2 two point efforts to leave the score at half time Miltown 2-4 Kildysart 0-09.
Conditions worsened considerably in the second half with the wet ball proving difficult for both sides. Kildysart levelled the game with an early point before Oisin McCarthy opened Miltowns account. The sides were both finding scores hard to come by but points from Eoin Devenney,Conal Meade and Ronan Keavey and some resolute defending were enough to see Miltown come put on top by 2-08 to 0-12
