Our Seniors advanced to the knockout stages of the championship earlier today following a sixteen point victory against Kilrush in Cooraclare.

Kilrush started well with an early goal chance and the first point of the game however Miltown soon rallied with Micheal Murray finishing to the net for Miltown's first goal. Points from Gordon Kelly, Cormac Murray, Eoin Cleary and Darragh McDonagh ensured Miltown led at the end of a tight first half on a scoreline of 1-4 to 0-3.

Miltown powered on in the second half with early points from Cormac Murray and Eoin Cleary. This was quickly followed by Kieran Malone blasting to the net at the end of a well worked move. Cormac Murray soon struck for his side's third goal when he palmed to the net while further points from Micheal Murray, Eoin Cleary, Darragh McDonagh and Oisin Looney ensured Miltown prevailed on a scoreline of 3-13 to 0-6.

This result and Kilmihil's victory over the West Clare amalgamation ensures Miltown will finish on top of their group regardless of the result in their final match against West Clare amalgamation.

Subs: Seanie Malone, Eoin Curtin, Jamesie O'Connor, Enda Fox, Ger Malone and Shane Curtin.

Miltown ladies completed a good day for all associated with Miltown GAA with a comprehensive 11 point victory over Burren Gaels in their championship semi final. Goals from Eimear Keane, Grainne Meade, Caoimhe Carmody and Amy Sexton saw Miltown prevail on a scoreline of 6-16 to 4-11 in an entertaining match. Miltown, under the management team of Graham Kelly, Ger Malone and Aisling McCaw, now face into a championship final against the winners of Liscannor or Cooraclare.
