2023 Junior A Championship Round 2

Miltown 0-8 Ballyvaughan 2-7

Our Junior A side fell to their second defeat of the 2023 championship against Ballyvaughan in Carron on Saturday.

Ballyvaughan made a fast start and led by 1-3 to 0-2 after 10 minutes, however for the remainder of the half Miltown played the better football and trailed by a single point at half time on a scoreline of 1-3 to 0-5 with Milltown’s scores coming from Paul Keane (4) &Ger Malone (1).

A second Ballyvaughan goal from the penalty spot after fifty minutes left Miltown with a bit of work to do and although they battled hard and played good football Miltown were unable to reel in the lead and despite points from Cillian Keavey (2) & Paul Keane (1) Miltown now face into a vital final game against Killimer in the final round
