Our Senior side fell to their first defeat in this seasons Garry Cup on Monday, with St.Josephs Doora Barefield leaving a sun drenched Hennessy Memorial Park with a five point victory. Early goals from both sides, (Miltowns from Conal Meade) led to an entertaining first half with both sides creating a number of chances leaving the half time score Miltown 1-6 St.Josephs DB 2-5.

Miltown found scores harder to come by in the second half as DB enjoyed most of the possession meaning Miltown had to work very hard in energy sapping conditions. St. Josephs DB built up a six-point lead and despite the best efforts of the home side ran out winners on a scoreline of 2-10 to 1-8.

Miltown had already qualified for the League final before the game and will now wait on the result from the semi final between Cooraclare & St.Josephs to discover their opponents in the 2023 garry Cup Final
