An understrength Junior A squad fell to defeat to an unbeaten Clondegad side tonight at Hennessy Memorial Park.

Despite playing with the aid of the breeze in the first half, Miltown fell behind early on before a Conall Meade penalty kept them in touch. Miltown could only score two further points in the half from Oisin Meade and Ger Malone which ensured they trailed at the break on a scoreline of 1-11 to 1-2.

The second half saw a stronger performance from Miltown however they were unable to narrow the deficit despite points from Ger Malone, Oisin Meade and Tim Lenihan. Clondegad maintained their unbeaten run and emerged victorious on a scoreline of 1-19 to 1-7.
