Our seniors kicked off their Garry Cup yesterday with a win away against Cooraclare
Miltown started well and Paul Keane struck for the game's first goal when he rifled to the net after ten minutes. Playing with the aid of a strong breeze, Miltown kicked on and just before half time, Cormac Murray found Paul Keane at the back post who palmed to the net for his second goal. This ensured Miltown led at the break on a scoreline of 2-8 to 0-3.
Cooraclare reduced the deficit with a number of well taken points before a late Jamesie O'Connor goal after good work from Cormac Murray meant Miltown prevailed on a scoreline of 3-11 to 0-8.
