Our seniors started their year off with a win today away to Lissycasey in the first round of the O'Gorman Cup.

Miltown started well with early points from Cormac Murray before Paul Keane struck for the game's first goal. Lissycasey remained in touch before Paul Keane got his second goal at the end of a well worked team move. Further points from Cormac Murray, Jamesie O'Connor and Sean Hayes ensured Miltown led at the break on a scoreline of 2-6 to 0-6.

Miltown continued to work hard in the second half with well taken points from Oisin Looney and Cormac Murray before Darragh McDonagh burst through the middle to finish for his side's third goal. Lissycasey reduced the deficit before points from Cormac Murray, Darragh McDonagh and Micheal Murray ensured Miltown prevailed on a scoreline of 3-11 to 0-9.

Scorers were Cormac Murray 0-6, Paul Keane 2-0, Darragh McDonagh 1-1, Jamesie O'Connor, Oisin Looney, Sean Hayes, Micheal Murray 0-1 each.

The Martin Guerin managed side now look forward to round 1 of the Garry Cup when they travel to play Cooraclare on March 18th.
