Our u14s continued their good form when they advanced to the Div3 County final with victory in the semi final away to The Banner.
Miltown started well with early points from Conor Neylon before The Banner opened their account with points of their own. Further points from Evan O'Loughlin and Danny Keena extended Miltown's lead as the half drew on. Despite spurning further scoring opportunities, Miltown led at half time on a scoreline of 0-6 to 0-2 after playing with the aid of a breeze.
Conor Neylon exchanged points with the Banner before the Banner pushed on and reduced the deficit to a solitary point as the match entered the final ten mins. A well worked team move found Eoghan Hogan in front of goal before he expertly finished to the net for the game's only goal. A strong defensive performance combined with two further Conor Neylon points ensured Miltown prevailed on a scoreline of 1-9 to 0-6 to advance to the county final.
