Our u14s bounced back from their opening round defeat with a convincing win over Clan Lir this evening in Kilfenora.
Clan Lir started well and struck for a goal with the game's first score. Miltown battled back and scored six unanswered points from the boot of Conor Neylon, Podge Devereaux and Oisin Mccarthy before Gearoid Keavey found the net for his side's first goal. Points from Gearoid Keavey and Evan O'Loughlin pushed Miltown ahead and they led 1-8 to 1-1 at half time after playing against the wind.
The North Clare side started the second half well and struck for a point within 60 seconds. Miltown found their feet quickly and powered ahead with goals from Podge Devereaux and Eamon Devanney as well as points from Fergal Queally, Gearoid Keavey and Conor Neylon. Miltown utilized their bench with all sixteen available players getting gametime. Miltown continued to drive on with late goals from Conor Neylon and Podge Devereaux ensuring they prevailed on a scoreline of 5-21 to 1-3.

Miltown now enter the Div 3 semi final draw with the Banner, Kildysart-Coolmeen and Naomh Eoin/Kilkee/O'Currys with the semi final in two weeks time.
