Our u17s emerged victorious over Shannon Gaels/Kilmihil on Friday night on a scoreline of 4-11 to 0-13.
After an even opening 10 minutes Miltown then took control with 2 well crafted and finished goals from Caimin Jones. Miltown added a third goal before the break after a cool finish from Oisin Meade.
The second half was a fairly even affair with both teams going point for point. Throughout the half, Miltown looked solid at the back and bar one or two nervy moments Colin Hayes' goal was kept intact. A penalty with the last kick of the game converted by Patrick Greene wrapped up a solid evening for the minors who will now move forward to the quarter final in 2 weeks time.
