Our seniors exited the senior championship tonight with defeat to St Breckans in Ennistymon.
Miltown started well with early points from Eoin Cleary, Darragh McDonagh and Conor Cleary. Further points from Micheal Murray and Cian Mahony ensured Miltown led at the break on a scoreline of 0-5 to 0-3 at half time.
At the start of the 2nd half, Kieran Malone pointed for Miltown before St Breckans got the game's first goal from the penalty spot. Points from Eoin Cleary and Kieran Malone edged Miltown back in front before St Breckans struck the lead with another goal. A Conor Cleary point was Miltowns final score before a late Lisdoonvarna goal ensured they prevailed on a scoreline of 3-7 to 0-9.
