Our seniors fell to their second championship defeat earlier today on a scoreline of 3-11 to 0-13 against Eire Og in Kilmihil.

Eire Og started well however Miltown stayed in touch with points from Cormac Murray, Kieran Malone and Aidan McGuane. After losing Cormac Murray to injury, Miltown continued to try hard and following an Eoin Cleary point they trailed at the break on a scoreline 0-9 to 0-7.

A Gearoid Curtin point reduced the gap to the minimum before Eoin Cleary and Eire Og traded scores. The match changed when Eire Og turned Miltown over at halfway before counterattacking for the game's first goal. Kieran Malone and Eoin Cleary struck back for Miltown with points before Eire Og followed up in quick succession with their second and third goals. Miltown were reduced to 14 when Seanie Malone was sent off before Conor Cleary pointed for the game's final point. Miltown now move into a must win match in their final group against St Breckans in two weeks time.
