Division 7 league 1/2 Final match Report

Our junior B side bowed out of the Division 7 league at the semi final stage last night after a four point defeat to a strong ,youthful Lissycasey at Hennessy Memorial Park.
Playing against the breeze in the first half Miltown were under a lot of pressure early on as Lissycasey made the most of a strong start. Gradually our lads began to get into the game and scores (1-2) from Gary Egan left Miltown trailing at half time on a scoreline of 1-7 to 1-2
Miltown began the second half in fine fashion and created a number of good chances as the Lissycasey defence found themselves under the cosh for long periods. Despite scores from Michael Barry (1-1) Gary Egan (0-2) Diarmaid O'Sullivan (0-2) and Joe O'Reilly (0-1) Mltown who got within a single point at one stage were unable to overturn the Lissycasey lead and finished up losing out on a scoreline of Miltown 2-8 Lissycasey 1-15.
Focus for the lads will now turn towards preparation for the championship.
