Miltown 4-6 Parteen 1.13

Our Junior B side got back to winning ways on Saturday with a narrow hard fought win over Parteen in Hennessy Memorial Park . playing with the aid of a strong breeze Miltown started slowly and found scores hard to come by in the early stages of the first. However as the half wore on our lads began to find their range and led at half time on a scoreline of 4-5 tp 0-3, witthe Miltown goals coming from Des Molohan (2) and Eanna O'Connor (2) with David Meade, Des Molohan (2) Eanna O'Connor & Gary Egan adding the points.

The second half was a rearguard action as Parteen made the most of the wind to keep Miltown pegged back and under severe pressure for long periods. Gary Egan popped up with an invaluable point and despite a late Parteen goal Miltown held on for a priceless victory.
