Our Junior B side continued their winning ways in Lisdoonvarna yesterday evening with a hard fought win over St.Breckans.
Playing with the aid of the breeze in the first half Miltown despite creating a number of good chances found scores hard to come by against a resolute home defence. Braces of points from Diarmaid O'Sullivan and Gary Egan allied to a point a piece from Cillian Keavey & Conor McKenna meant Miltown lead at half time on a scoreline of 6 points to three.
The second half was a tense affair with the home side pressing hard to cut the Miltown lead. A goal from play from St.Breckans brought them back into the game ,but fine scores from Cillian keavey, Tommy Flynn, Michael Hehir & Eamonn Deveraux kept Miltown ahead until a contentious penalty ensured the game was headed for a tight finish. The Miltown defence once again held firm and scores from Diarmaid O'Sullivan and Gary Egan meant a fourth win in a row for our lads
