Our u13s suffered a disappointing defeat away this evening to Doonbeg in their latest championship game.
Miltown scored the first point of the match before Doonbeg kicked into gear with a number of points and a well taken goal. A well taken point from Daniel Howard and a number of impressive saves from Garrett Barry kept Miltown in touch while a late Fergal Queally point meant Miltown trailed by 1-7 to 0-3 after playing against a stiff breeze.
Josh Flynn scored an early point before Doonbeg came on top for 15mins where they struck for five goals as Miltown's heads dropped. A late Eoghan Hogan goal followed by points from Evan O'Loughlin reduced the deficit however the stronger Doonbeg side prevailed on a scoreline of 6-10 to 1-6.
