Our Junior As kicked off their league campaign with an impressive win away against Clondegad this afternoon.

Playing against the breeze, Miltown started well with points from Diarmuid O'Sullivan, Cillian Keavey and Euan Lineen. The Juniors struck for their first goal when Diarmuid O'Sullivan expertly finished to the net at the end of a well worked team move. Further points from Gearoid Burke, Sean McMahon and Joe Carmody ensured Miltown led at the break on a scoreline of 1-6 to 0-2.

Miltown started their 2nd half strongly with two well taken points from the impressive Paul Frawley. Euan Lineen and Diarmuid O'Sullivan extended the lead as Miltown introduced a number of fresh legs into the game. A free from Sean McMahon before Euan Lineen powerfully blasted to the net meant Miltown prevailed on a scoreline of 2-12 to 0-6.
