The u17s bowed out of the league today with a three point loss to St Breckans in Miltown on a scoreline of 3-10 to 1-13.
The first half was a tight affair with both sides trading goals as half time drew close. Patrick Greene finding the net for Miltown to ensure the sides entered the break level on a scoreline of 1-4 each.
Miltown started the 2nd half better with points from Eoin Devanney, Cormac O Loughlin and John Maloney pushing them into the lead. Further points from Eoin Devanney and Sean Hayes meant Miltown lead by 5 as the game entered injury time. Miltowns hopes were dashed by a quick fire 1-2 in injury time which meant the match moved to extra time on a scoreline of 1-10 to 2-7.
St Breckans started extra time much the better and a further 1-2 meant they led by five at the break. Miltown continued to stay in touch in the 2nd half with points from Finlay Robertson, Eoin Devanney and Patrick Greene however they were unable to find the elusive goal they required.
