Our Junior B side marked their return to action with a win over Eire Og in Ennis this afternoon. With a nice blend of youth and experience, Miltown playing with the aid of a stiff breeze adapted to early pressure from the home side to produce a measured first half performance creating a good number of scoring chances while defending resolutely. The half time whistle saw Miltown lead by the bare minimum on a scoreline of 1-1 to 0-3 with our scores coming from Conor Mckenna(Goal) and Declan Rynne (point)
Facing into the breeze for the second half Miltown displayed some great passing moves and very solid defence with everyone playing their part in making sure the home side were constantly under pressure when in possession. Goals from Diarmaid O’Sullivan & Declan Rynne (2) allied to points from Gary Egan (2), Eanna O’Connor & Declan Rynne ensured our Junior Bs ran out winners on a scoreline of 4-5 to 0-8.
