Miltown commenced their Cusack Cup campaign tonight with a 3 point victory over KIB at Hennessy Memorial Park.
Miltown started well with an early goal from Seán McMahon and points from Cormac Murray before KIB struck for a goal of their own. Sean McMahon pointed as the half drew to a close to ensure Miltown led at the break by a solitary point on a scoreline of 1-4 to 1-3
A cagey 2nd half followed with both teams utilizing their bench. Points from Seanie Malone and Cormac Murray closed the game as Miltown emerged victorious on a scoreline of 1-6 to 1-3.
