Our U17 side continued their winning form in the 2021 championship with a well deserved win over Kilmihil/Kildysart/Coolmeen/Shannon Gaels on Friday night under lights at Hennessy Memorial Park.
Playing into the teeth of a strong wind in the first half our lads kept the scoreboard ticking along with a number of well taken points mainly from play and two very well worked goals.
Our defence stood up well and tackled with great discipline and tenacity to restrict the amalgamation to five points in the first half which ended with a score line of Miltown 2-10 v 0-5 for the opposition.
The second half saw more of the same from Miltown who made good use of the conditions and kept the opposition pinned in their own half for long periods while knocking over an impressive ten point and two more fine goals to leave a final scoreline of Miltown 4-20 Kilmihil/Kildysart/Coolmeen/Shannon Gaels 0-8
