Our u13 fell to defeat at the hands of KIB tonight in Quilty. The match started at a quick pace with KIB striking first for the game's first goal. Podge Devereaux finished powerfully to the net for Miltown's first goal after a diagonal pass from Conor Neylon. This ensured that Miltown trailed on a scoreline of 1-4 to 1-2 at the first water break.
The second quarter was very even and saw both sides exchange soares with well taken points from Josh Flynn, Conor Neylon and Evan O'Loughlin as well as a well taken goal from Conor Neylon. This ensured that KIB led at the break on 2-8 to 2-6.
The close battle continued in the 3rd quarter with both teams exchanging goals with Miltown's goals coming from Eoghan Hogan and Evan O'Loughlin as well a point from the boot of Conor Neylon ensuring the score at the end of the final water break was 4-7 to 4-9 in favor of KIB.
The final quarter was not a good quarter for our u13s as two points fron Conor Neylon were our only scores while the fitter KIB side finished with a flurry of goals and points in the final five minutes to ensure they prevailed on a scoreline of 7-13 to 4-9.

They move forward to a divison 2 quarter final next Wednesday 15th away against Cratloe who topped the other groups.
