Our u17 side picked up their second win of the 2021 Championship with victory over Doonbeg in Hennessy Memorial park last night. The first half was a cagey affair with both sides creating scoring chances but failing to trouble the scoreboard, A Sean Mc Mahon goal was the difference between the side at the 1/2 time whistle with Miltown leading on a score line of 1-5 to 5.

Miltown were quick out of the blocks in the second half with an early goal and a number of well taken points establishing a healthy lead by the second water break. The final quarter saw Doonbeg troubling the Miltown goals on a number of occasions but good goalkeeping and a resolute defense ensured a well deserved victory in the end on a scoreline of Miltown 5-14 Doonbeg 2-8
