Miltown u13s kept their momentum going with victory tonight over the Western Gaels at Hennessey Memorial Park.
Miltown started well with early goals from Evan O'Loughlin, Podge Devereaux and Conor Neylon. This allied with points from Conor Neylon and Podge Devereaux ensured Miltown led at the first water break on a scoreline of 3-5 to 1-1.
The u13s continued to perform strongly in the 2nd quarter with goals from Evan O'Loughlin and Eoghan Hogan. Well taken points from Conor Neylon and Eoghan Hogan kept Miltown in the lead at half time on a scoreline of 5-9 to 1-3.
The 3rd quarter saw further goals from Evan and Conor combined with excellent points from Oisin Mccarthy, Conor Neylon and Eoghan Hogan. Western Gaels kept going as the game drew to a close scoring three late goals which could have been a lot more but for some fine saves from Daxon Greenan. As the game drew to a close, good work from Paudie Killeen saw his cousin Eoin Vaughan fist the ball to the net for his sides final goal. Further points from Conor Neylon and Podge Devereaux saw Miltown prevail on a scoreline of 8-19 to 4-7. All available panel members received a minimum of 15 minutes gametime again with a strong improvement being shown by all.
