Our u13s got their championship campaign back on track tonight with victory at home vs Kilmihil/Shannon Gaels.

Kimihil/Shannon Gaels started well with the first score on the board however Miltown rallied with a point from Conor Neylon before Ronan Killeen finished expertly to the net for the game's first goal. In quick succession, Oisin McCarthy struck for Miltown's second goal shortly before the opposition struck for their first goal. Ronan Killeen got his second goal of the match at the end of a well worked team move before points from Conor Neylon and Podge Devereaux ensured Miltown led at the break on a scoreline of 3-3 to 1-5.

Miltown kicked on well in the third quarter with well worked points from Conor Neylon, Daniel Keena, Podge Devereaux and Evan O'Loughlin. Kimihil/Shannon Gaels continued to try hard and struck for two late goals in the final quarter to reduce before late points from Conor Neylon, Oisin Mccarthy and Josh Flynn ensured Miltown prevailed on a scoreline of 3-15 to 3-8.

Subs: Micheal Toomey, Josh Flynn, Jack Meade, Sean Toomey, Eoin Vaughan, Daniel Howard, Eli Downes.

Scorers were: Conor Neylon 0-7, Ronan Killeen 2-0, Oisin Mccarthy 1-1, Podge Devereaux 0-3, Josh Flynn 0-2, Danny Keena and Evan O'Loughlin 0-1 each.

There were a number of positives for Miltown to take from the game with all players trying hard and improving as well as all available panel members again receiving game time. Next up for Miltown is a trip to West Clare in two weeks time where they will face off against Naomh Eoin/O'Currys/Kilkee on the 27th.
