Our u13s opened their championship campaign with a loss at home today against Cooraclare.

Miltown struck first with a well taken goal from a combination of Eamon Devaney and Eoin Vaughan. Despite points from James Cogan and Oisin Mccarthy, Miltown trailed at the break after a number of wides as the 2nd quarter progressed.

In the 3rd quarter, Miltown were awarded a penalty when Evan O Loughlin was fouled in the small square. Daniel Kenna finished the penalty expertly to the top left corner. Miltown continued to try hard with impressive points from Daniel Keena and Conor Neylon however a late Cooraclare goal ensured they prevailed on a scoreline of 4-10 to 2-7.

The defeat leaves Miltown with plenty to improve on over the next five rounds of the championships with a number of positives to build on including all available panel members receive a minimum of 15 minutes tonight.
