Miltown u14’s secured a win on home soil last night against Clondegad.

The game was played in difficult conditions however Miltown got off to a good start with a point from a free by Ronan Keavey. This was quickly followed up by a good point from play by Eoin hogan. Clondegad came back into the game with a goal. Miltown responded with a goal of their own scored by Stephen Murphy. This was quickly followed by two more points for Ronan Keavey, one from play and one from a free. The scoreline at half time was 1-4 to 1-2 in favour of the home side.

Miltown started the second half with some good passages of play which resulted in a very well taken goal by Cian Cunningham. Cian quickly followed this up with an impressive point. Miltown were well in control at this point. Clondegad managed to score a goal in the final moments of the game but the Miltown defence stood strong and held a comfortable lead for the last quarter of the game. The final score of the game fell to Gearoid Keavey who kicked a point to leave the result 3-6 to 2-3 at the final whistle.

Miltown are now awaiting confirmation of their opponents in the next stage of the competition but they are safely through to a quarter final spot following this result.
