On Saturday our seniors played Doonbeg in the latest round of the senior championship.

Miltown started well with early points from Eoin Cleary and Cormac Murray. Doonbeg continued to stay in touch with points, a number coming from placed balls. Ger Malone struck for the key score of the first half when he expertly finished to the net after a strong run through the centre from Eoin Cleary. Further points from Eoin Cleary and Cian Mahony ensured Miltown led at the break on a scoreline of 1-6 to 0-5.

Our seniors started well again in the second half when a Ger Malone pass found Cormac Murray in space and he struck powerfully to the back of the Doonbeg net. Eoin Cleary quickly followed with another point and further points from Eoin and Conor Cleary and Seanie Malone ensured Miltown prevailed on a scoreline of 2-11 to 0-11.
