Our minors continued their championship campaign last night with a comprehensive 6-10 to 1-5 victory over the Western Gaels amalgamation at Hennessy Memorial Park.
Miltown started well in the first half with well worked goals from Cian Mahony and Paul Keane. Further points from Mahony and Gavin Burke ensured Miltown led at the break.
The minors continued to perform well in the second half. Substitute Diarmuid o Sullivan expertly finished to the net shortly after coming off the bench while this was quickly followed by a long range goal from Cian Mahony. Well taken points from Mahony, Conall Meade and Callum Curtin kept Miltown in the lead before Sean McMahon scored his sides 5th goal from a well taken penalty. Miltown were reduced to 14 men when Harry Boyd was sent off as the game drew to a close while Cian Mahony completed his hat trick with a powerful finish to the net as full time approached.
