As you may be aware from our other social media outlets, St Joseph's Miltown GAA has invited all our members, the community and friends from our neighbouring parishes to join us in our fundraising initiative to support local charities that are suffering in this current climate.
Thus far, we have announced three of the local charities which will be benefiting from the funding. Those announced thus far are below, with more to follow in the coming days:
(1) Clare Cystic Fibrosis
(2) Slainte An Chlair (Clare Cancer Support)
(3) ASD unit being built at St Joseph's Secondary School Spanish Point
I'm sure you will agree that all of the above are worthy causes who provide vital support and assistance in our local West Clare community.
We had hoped to reach a target of €2,000 by doing 1,000km weekly up to June 1st. This is to be done while operating within the current 2km guidelines that are in place. You can take part by walking, running, cycling, using a treadmill or stationary bike in order to help us reach out distance target. Post your weekly distance covered on social media using #westclare1000 so we can track your goal.
We have been overwhelmed by the support we have received in the last few days since we launched this initiative. As of this morning, €3,070 has been donated so far. Thanks so much for your support to date.
You can follow the link below to take part and make sure to #westclare1000 in your social media workout posts.

Looking forward to seeing the Km and € marks being reached weekly (every little bit helps).
