Miltown bowed out of the u13 West Clare Championship tonight at the semi final stage following defeat to Lissycasey.

Lissycasey started well with two early well worked goals. They continued to push forward with a number of well worked points. Miltown were short a number of their experienced players due to holidays and injury with solitary point in the first half coming from a Ronan Keavey free as they trailed by 2-6 to 0-1 at the break.

Miltown played much better in the second half with early points from Dominic Griffin and Ronan Keavey. After a well worked move, Niall Toomey expertly finished to the net to reduce the deficit. Lissycasey and Miltown continued to trade points as the game drew to a close with Stephen Murphy and Eoin Devanney on the scoresheet for Miltown. Miltown never gave up with all panel members seeing game time however Lissycasey prevailed on a scoreline of 4-13 to 1-7.
