Congratulations to the Miltown ladies team who emerged as winners over the weekend in Cooraclare in the shield final of the Sile Callinan memorial 7-a-side tournament.

In an exciting high-scoring final, they overcame Cul Gaels to emerge victorious.

The tournament saw a number of teams from all over Clare take part and was supported in great numbers despite the inclement weather conditions. The tournament was launched in 2017 to honour Sile’s memory while raising vital funds for Cystic Fibrosis and the Clare CF support fund.

This year saw the tournament partner with the Opt For Life and HPV Vaccine campaigns to raise awareness for two vital causes while special guests GAA pundit Joe Brolly and comedian Conor Moore were in attendance on Saturday.
