Our u13s fell to defeat this evening in the final of the Garda tournament in Cusack Park against Kilrush.

Miltown opened the scoring with a point from Darragh Hogan. Kilrush responded well with an early goal, followed quickly followed by a point. Darragh Hogan found the Kilrush goalie in form as he made a point blank save from a powerful shot. The physically stronger Kilrush finished the second half well with another goal and point and led at the break on a scoreline of 2-2 to 0-1.

Our u13s improved in the second half with the subs helping to keep Miltown in the game however they were unable to close the gap. Darragh Hogan pointed for Miltown before a late free from Kilrush meant they ran out deserving winners on a scoreline of 2-3 to 0-2.

The Miltown panel was: Colin Hayes, Tony Carroll, Niall Toomey, Flynn McDowell, James Downes, Ronan Keavey, Gavin Toomey, Ralph Whelehan (captain), Iarla Meade, Caimin Jones, Eoin Devanney, Stephen Murphy, Caimin Jones, Kian Cunningham, Darragh Hogan, Dominic Griffin, Conor Neylon, Oisin McCarthy, Paudi Killeen, Sean McMahon, Gearoid Keavey.

Hard luck to all involved.
