Our seniors commenced their championship campaign with a four point victory over Kilmihil yesterday.

Miltown started well with early points from Kieran Malone and Oisin Looney. Further points from Conor Cleary, Eoin Cleary and Gearoid Curtin kept Miltown in the lead however Kilmihil rallied and at the break, Miltown led by the minimum on a scoreline of 0-7 to 0-6.

The second half started with Miltown on top with well taken scorers from Eoin Cleary, Cormac Murray and Kieran Malone. A Kilmihil goal reduced the deficit to two points however soon Miltown struck back with Graham Kelly palming to the net at the end of a well worked move. Further points from Eoin Cleary and Gearoid Curtin ensured Miltown prevailed on a scoreline of 1-16 to 1-12. Next up for our Seniors is a game against Kilrush in two weeks.
