The u14s captured their third successive win today with a thirteen point victory over Cooraclare at Hennessy Memorial Park.

Cooraclare started well and raced into an early lead. Miltown found their feet and fought back with fine points from Sean Hayes, Cormac O'Loughlin and Tim Lenihan. The impressive Cormac Byrne performed strongly at full back to keep Cooraclare at bay while Cormac O'Loughlin palmed to the net after good work from Finlay Robertson to ensure Miltown led at the break on a scoreline of 1-3 to 0-2.

Miltown started poorly in the second half with Cooraclare rattling off 1-3 without response. The home team found their feet with Cormac O'Loughlin rattling the back of the net, quickly followed by a Ralph Whelehan point. Sean Hayes and Ralph Whelehan both expertly finished to the net as Miltown finished strongly. Two impressive points from Patrick Greene and a further well taken goal from Ralph Whelehan ensured Miltown ran out winners on a scoreline of 5-6 to 1-5. Next up for the 14s is a home game against Corofin in their final group game.
