Well done to to Rineen NS on winning their 7 a side schools football league last week after they defeated Labasheeda/Kilmurry NS in Kilrush GAA Field.

In an evenly contested final Rineen had to fight all the way to the final whistle as the gallant Labasheeda & Kilmurry refused to throw in the towel.

Rineen NS led by 7 points at half time after playing with the aid of a strong breeze. In a high scoring game Rineen eventually secured victory with the final score being 6-10 to 4-7.

Gavin & Niall Twomey, joint captains, lifted the cup while Ralph Whelehen received the man of match award.

The Rineen Panel was - Coilin Hayes, Seán Twomey, Niall Twomey, Michaél Twomey, Ralph Whelehen, Steven Murphy, Conor Hayes, Gavin Twomey, Liam Curtin, Kate Murphy, Áine O'Keeffe, Priscilla Mongan, Elijah Downes & Sadhbh O'Connell.

Well done to all involved, players and management - especially those members of our underage boys and girls panels.
