Our Juniors emerged victorious over Liscannor in the latest round of the Division 4 League at Hennessy Memorial Park this morning.
Miltown started well with a number of fine points from Ger Malone, both from placed balls and play. Further points from Gary Egan ensured Miltown led at the break on a scoreline of 0-7 to 0-2.
Our Juniors started the second half well with points again from Ger Malone and Gary Egan. Liscannor tried hard and closed the deficit however three points from the evergreen Heff shortly after being introduced extended Miltown's lead again. Miltown were reduced to 14 men as the game drew to a finish with Ian Sexton receiving a black card however a solid defensive display ensured Miltown emerged victorious on a scoreline of 0-13 to 1-4.
This result consolidates Miltown's position in the Division 4 League for 2020.
