Miltown juniors fell to a three point defeat this morning away to Clondegad.
Clondegad started well however Miltown stayed in touch with points from John Meade and Gary Egan. Clondegad then struck for a well worked goal while at the other end their goalkeeper also made two point blank saves from Gary Egan. An impressive long range point from Enda Fox and a well worked point from Gearoid Burke at the end of a move which he started and finished ensured Miltown kept in touch at the break on a scoreline of 1--4 to 0-4.
Playing with the breeze, the home team started well and extended their lead. Ger Malone finished a penalty to the net to close the gap after Micheal Malone had been fouled. Ger scored two further points however Clondegad eased to victory on a scoreline of 1-9 to 1-6.
