Our Seniors continued their winning ways with a five point victory over Eire Og last night in Miltown.
On a warm April Thursday evening, Miltown started well and went into an early lead thanks to a fine point from Micheal Murray followed by a long range goal from Cormac Murray. Further points from Cormac and Eoin Cleary meant Miltown continued to lead at break on a scoreline of 1-4 to 0-3.
Eire Og started the second half well and soon the sides were level following a fisted goal from the Ennis side. Two points from Eoin Cleary ensured our Seniors went back into the lead before Eoin struck for Miltown's second goal at the end of a great team move. This was quickly followed by Miltown's third goal, finished by Sean Malone after great work from Gordon Kelly. Eire Og were reduced to fourteen men late on and Miltown won on a score line of 3-6 to 1-7.
