Our Seniors suffered their first defeat of the Cusack Cup campaign last Sunday with a three point loss away to Ennistymon.

Miltown started well and the sides exchanged scores with Cormac Murray, Graham Kelly and Kieran Malone pointing for Miltown. A Sean McCoingley goal meant Miltown trailed by the minimum at the break on a scoreline of 1-4 to 0-6.

In the second half, Cormac continued to score for Miltown with a further 3 points with Diarmuid Meade also finding the target however they were unable to close the gap and lost on a scoreline of 1-10 to 0-10.

Miltown lined out as follows: Sean O Brien, Martin Rynne, Gordon Kelly, BOB; Cillian O Malley, Aidan McGuane, Colin Hehir; Darragh McDonagh and Kieran Malone; Jason Griffin, Cormac Murray, Joe Carmody; Enda Fox, Graham Kelly, Sean Malone. Subs: Joe Curtin, David Cleary, Gearoid Burke and Diarmuid Meade.

Scorers were: Cormac Murray 0-7, Graham Kelly, Kieran Malone and Diarmuid Meade 0-1 each.
