Our Seniors fell to a one point defeat to Kilrush this morning in the O'Gorman Cup. They started well and with fine points from Ger Malone, Graham Kelly and Gearoid Curtin led by 0-4 to 0-2 after ten mins. Kilrush powered back into the game and were soon level, however further points from Enda Fox, Seanie Malone and Sean Malone meant Miltown led by 0-11 to 0-6 at the break after playing with the aid of a stiff breeze.
Our Seniors started the second half well and worked a number of fine points from Gearoid Curtin and Gerard, Seanie and Sean Malone. However two late Kilrush goals in the last five minutes, including a last minute penalty ensured Kilrush prevailed on a scoreline of 2-14 to 0-19.
