Our Seniors have advanced to the Munster Senior Club Final after a 2-11 to 0-9 victory over The Nire earlier today in Fraher Field.
Our seniors started well with early points from Eoin Cleary and Kieran Malone. Colin Hehir extended their lead with a fine point at the end of a well worked move. Further impressive points from Kieran, Colin, Conor Cleary, Oisin Looney and Cormac Murray ensured Miltown entered the break leading 0-9 to 0-4 after playing with the aid of a strong breeze.
Playing against the breeze, Eoin Curtin opened Miltown's second half account with a well taken point. Cormac Murray struck for the game's opening goal at the end of an impressive run through the The Nire defence. Substitute Sean Malone made an immediate impact with an excellent finish for Miltown's second goal. Eoin Cleary struck Miltown's final point and ensured Miltown ran out eight point winners.
