Our U13s advanced to the U13B West Clare final following a victory over Kilmihil/Shannon Gaels tonight in Hennessy Memorial Park.
Miltown led from start to finish in a tough physical battle in windy conditions. Our u13s took a number of well worked points in the first half and led at the break on a score-line of 0-7 to 0-2.
Our opponents started the second half well and were awarded a penalty shortly after the restart, which they clinically finished to the net. This reduced the lead to two points. Miltown dug deep again and struck for a great individually worked goal from Ralph Whelehan. Further points were added by Miltown in the dying minutes of the game and they advanced on a final score-line of 1-12 to 1-5.
Our u13s now advance to the final against Doonbeg which is due to be played next week. We will let you know full fixture details when we know more.
