Our U15s began their West Clare Championship earlier today with a comprehensive win over Kilkee/O’Currys/Naomh Eoin. They started well with early goals from Cillian Keavey & Diarmuid O’Sullivan helping them to settle into the game. Further goals from Sean McMahon & Diarmuid O’Sullivan ensured that Miltown entered the half time break in the lead.
Aided by a strong breeze in the second half, Miltown continued to hold onto a commanding lead, with goals coming from Sean McMahon, Harry Boyd, Conal Meade and Euan Lineen. As the game drew to a close, they also scored a number of well worked points from Diarmuid O’Sullivan, Gavin Burke, Sean Neylon and Joe Carroll.
The management team of Sean O’Brien, Gearoid Curtin & Liam O’Brien will have a headache picking their starting thirteen for the next round due the number of fine performances from those who started and those who entered from the bench.
Miltown lined out as follows: Andrew Skerritt; Adam Burke, Patrick Flanagan; Rhys Whelehan, Paul Frawley, Callum Curtin; Gavin Burke & Harry Boyd; Eanna O’Connor, Cillian Keavey, Conall Meade; Diarmuid O’Sullivan and Sean McMahon. Subs: Euan Lineen, Sean Neylon, Eamon Devereaux, Joseph Carroll, Cormac Byrne, Darragh Fallon, Sean Hayes, John Moloney.
Well done to all involved and best of luck in the tougher tests to come.
