Our Seniors have advanced to the Championship semi-final after a 2-14 to 1-7 victory over Clondegad yesterday evening in Cusack Park. Impressive early points from Eoin Cleary, Darragh McDonagh, Cormac Murray and Kieran Malone ensured Miltown started well and they continued to hold that lead throughout the first half. Following Oisin Looney’s point after a well worked move, Miltown led at the half time break on a scoreline of 0-7 to 0-4 with the majority of the Clondegad scores coming from placed balls.
Miltown continued to show their dominance in the second half with a clinical display and early second half points from Kieran Malone & Eoin Cleary. Darragh McDonagh then found the back of the Clondegad net after great work from Brian Curtin. This was quickly followed by an impressive move started and finished by Aidan McGuane for Miltown’s second goal. Miltown’s concentration momentarily slipped as they conceded a penalty which Clondegad’s Brian Carrig finished to the net. Late points from Eoin Cleary & Eoin Curtin ensured eased Miltown's worries and ensured they moved into the semi-final.

Miltown have reached their fourth consecutive semi-final under the stewardship of Mikie Neylon and his back room team however they will be hoping to build on two unsuccessful semi-final appearances in 2017 & 2016 to advance to the final this time.
