Our Seniors advanced to the quarter final earlier today with an eleven point win over Doonbeg today in Quilty.
Miltown started well and went ahead with early points from captain Gordon Kelly and Eoin Cleary. After catching a line ball from Eoin Cleary, Darragh McDonagh struck the ball to the net with a powerful finish, so much so that the ball rebounded out but Sean Malone made sure the ball nestled in the net. Doonbeg battled back and at half time, Miltown lead Doonbeg by the minimum on a scoreline ot 1-6 to 0-8.
Miltown started the second half well with Cormac Murray expertly finishing to the net after a great run by Eoin Cleary. Well taken points from Jamesie O Connor, Eoin Cleary, Aidan McGuane and Kieran Malone ensured Miltown eased to a comfortable win.
