Our u14s overcame Clooney Quin in a competitive game last night in the latest round of the u14 championship at Hennessy Memorial Park.
Miltown started the first half against the wind in what could be best described as a scrappy enough affair. Both teams were guilty of missing several scoring opportunities and at half time, the sides were deadlocked at 0-6 each.
In the second half, following a number of positional changes and with the aid of a stiff breeze blowing into the Town end, Miltown took control of the game and finished strongly on a score-line of 3-11 to 0-8.
This result guarantees our u14s a semi-final spot on next Wednesday the 5th of September. Full fixture details to follow in the coming days.
