On Saturday evening, our Juniors lost to Kilrush in their final group stage game of the Junior A Championship on a score line of 2-9 to 1-10.
Miltown started very poorly in the first half with Kilrush gaining the early initiative and racing into a lead of 1-8 to 0-1 at half time.
In the second half, Miltown rallied with Gearoid Burke scoring a vital goal for the Juniors. Unfortunately however Kilrush struck back with a goal against the run of play and emerged victorious by two points at the end of the game.
This loss means that our Juniors now enter the relegation play-off stage to ensure they maintain their Junior A status. The draw for the relegation play off stage has not yet been made.
