Our U14s had a comprehensive win over Doonbeg in the U14 B Championship last night in Miltown. The visitors had the better start and raced into early lead scoring 1-3 in quick succession. In what was a scrappy first half, Miltown clawed their way back into the game and led by two points at the break.
Despite playing into a stiff breeze in the second half, Miltown totally dominated the game and gave Doonbeg no chance to get back into it. A special mention must go to u12 player Darragh Hogan who after coming on as a sub in the 2nd half struck for a hat-trick of goals, finishing the game with 3-1 to his name.
Miltown have a bye in the next round and therefore have a three week break to their next game which is away to Clondegad on August 20th. This should prove to be a tougher challenge.
